Kimberly Davis has research
interests in information security, information privacy, and software
outsourcing relationships. She earned a B.A. in Economics (magna cum
laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and an M.B.A. from the University of
Nebraska. She later earned her doctorate in law (J.D.), cum laude, from
Harvard Law School. As an attorney prior to her academic career, Professor Davis
practiced in the areas of intellectual property and information technology, with
a focus on software licensing and the licensing of Internet technologies. She
negotiated transactions involving software development, software procurement and
licensing, consulting services, eCommerce partnerships, ASP arrangements,
website development and hosting, and the distribution of technology.
Subsequently, she served as an Assistant Professor of MIS at Mississippi State
University.
Professor Davis has published in various outlets, including the
Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, European Journal of
Operational Research, PC AI, and several conference Proceedings.
